Squatting bad for knees?

ok so at school we squat about once a week. my max is 185 and im 13 weighing 105 and im 5 ft 3. at school we usually do a set of 10 60% of our max. then a set of 8 10 lbs more. then we do a set of 6 10 lbs more. sumtimes we do a set of 4 10 lbs more. wud this be damaging to my knees. i hav pain in my knees sumtimes wen im running. im pretty active playing on all of my middle schools sports, aau basketball, and my schools 7 on 7 football team.
