Which career has the best outlook for the future, in terms of pay and availability?

I'm heading to Cal Poly Pomona this fall with an intended major in chemical engineering. I planned on obtaining my bachelors of science in chemical engineering and then applying for Pharmacy school. Would i be able to make more money as chemical engineer than as a pharmacist?
